"As the morning star rose, Siddharta awoke and became the Buddha. He declared, “I, together with all beings and the great earth, simultaneously attain the Way.”
Rohatsu, which means "eighth day of the twelfth month" in Japanese, is the day that Zen Buddhists traditionally mark and celebrate Shakyamuni Buddha’s enlightenment. Joining together for Rohatsu Zazenkai is a powerful way to share and deepen our practice, and to honor our lineage as we realize and express the Buddha Way through deep silence, zazen, kinhin, ceremony, and fellowship. As we practice together in this supportive group setting, we express our commitment to live and be lived for the benefit of all being. For more information, contact marcia@mailhosts.net
